Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of designing a website specifically for search engines with the goal of obtaining the highest possible rankings according to selected keywords.

In other words, making your site more search engine friendly, so your site can be easily crawled by search engine spiders and index it in their own databases marking them as having one or another keyword in its content.
